Leaving a legacy
Leaving a legacy to CERCOPAN in your will, means that you continue making a positive impact on the conservation of the world you leave behind long after you are gone. Furthermore, by leaving a gift to CERCOPAN you could substantially reduce the amount of tax payable by your family on your estate. For example, in April 2012, the UK government introduced a reduced rate of inheritance tax for estates leaving 10 per cent or more to a charity ( see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/will.htm ). Rest assured, no matter how small the gift, it will greatly appreciated and every single penny will be put to good use.
Instructing a professional to produce your will is inexpensive, easy and ensures that your wishes will be carried in the exact manner you had planned. If you already have a will, you can simply add a ‘codicil’ to an existing document that will allow you to incorporate a gift to CERCOPAN without having your will entirely re-written.
If you would like to remember CERCOPA N in your will there are three main types of gift you can leave as your legacy.
– Pecuniary gift – a specified sum of money, this can be index linked so that it increases with inflation
– Specific gift – A specified item of property e.g. real estate, art or jewellery,
– Residual gift – a percentage of the net value of your estate, which ensures that the legacy remains unaffected by inflation
Please ensure that the professional writing your will has the following information.
