Help us continue on our mission

As an entirely non-profit making NGO we are utterly reliant upon the generosity and vision of individuals and companies to conduct our essential work in Nigeria. Like many charities around the globe we are currently suffering the impact of the global economic crisis and finding it harder and harder to raise the funds we need to keep going. With your help we can continue to rescue orphan primates from deplorable conditions and return them to the wild where they belong. We can provide thousands of adults and children with the environmental education needed to encourage respect for wildlife and habitats and to make the primate pet trade a thing of the past. We can help local people earn a living from forest friendly activities and help to ensure that they are able to develop and meet their basic needs without destroying the rainforests upon which they depend. We can patrol day and night to protect animals such as monkeys, pangolins and forest elephants from the poachers, who unhindered, would leave these forests empty. Our work is vital ….and so is your donation. We can’t do it without you. Make the difference. Please give today.

I hope you will not close down. Thank you for all the good work we’ve done for the monkeys.

Thank you very much Carmen, sadly it now seems that avoiding closure is impossible, but I hope that we are able to stay open long enough to release and rehome the animals in our care. As you can imagine with nraly 150 animals in our care it will take some time.

I just read about your dilemma on Facebook. I am so sorry your donors have withdrawn. It sounds like you do really fantastic work. i have donated 100 GBP and I hope it will help a little bi tot feed the dear monkeys until you can release/rehome them. It must be a dreadful time of you guys. All the best from Australia. CHJ.

I didn’t see a link to Facebook. It might be a good way to get the word out.

Very sad news, I really hope you raise the funds required to stay open and that all animals are taken care of as they need.
